Garry, Thanks. I am having fun collecting Makarov's as well, I have three of them, a well used but good firing E German, and two Bulgarians, picked up a P6 Sig, I have two P64's, a CZ 52, Sig P226, S&W M&P9, S&W stainless 65-6, Charles Daly 1911, CZ 82 and as soon as I get the picture thing figured out I'll post them. I joined photo bucket, moved the pics there and haven't been able to move them to this forum. I'll get it. I don't have many rifles, just plinkers, a 10-22 Ruger and a Marlin model 60. I'll work on getting my pics posted, your right, it is fun to see others collections.

Electross,
Image
that is how to post pics after you have them on photobucket. I find it helpful to have two browser windows open, one at Photobucket and one at P-64 forums , so i can copy and paste them easily. Good Luck!! I am anxious to see your Group Pic ! G

Eaglepath, Thanks and Welcome ! Glad you are here and we'd love to hear about your service time. Whatever you feel like sharing. G

:)Thanks Garry, I'll give it a try this evening. If I don't get it this evening, I should be able to get to it going by Saturday. Have some home maintenance this evening and dinner tomorrow night. So it probably will be Saturday. This is a good forum, still getting over Makarov.com shutting it's doors. Chat soon.

Carguy-
I'm not really a compulsive gambler, I just mentioned it because I grew up in a card playing family and its one of the few indoor things I like doing. I also like to cook and combine dinner with any board or card games for the evening with a group of friends. My family specializes in Pinochle and Hearts, mostly. I DO spend more on guns & ammo than casinos, just something to go do when someone visits.

Garry-
No, but it's a cool idea. I actually just RUN the robots (and fix them when they crash), in electronics they get used for assembling and testing. In my job, they run tests. They move a probe around and detect signal levels all through a 3D area of interest. It's a product compliance thing. (Hmmm... wonder if robots ever test fire guns? Bet they can be taught to load mags, chamber rounds, etc...)

fcm018: I did not mean to insinuate anything like that...just having fun...this time at your expense...no offense intended... 8-)

I too am a card player...no gambling, I just don't like it, but I play whist (like bridge) with a group of guys, we've been playing weekly for 17 years (we range from 6 to 14 every thursday night), toss $5 in a pot each week and quarterly award prizes for 1st through 4th place and go out to dinner. Each quarter we put money aside and in December we donate to a local food kitchen, women's shelters and the like (3 in all in town).

carguy,

Do you play bridge? I have played since I was 17, lets see, that makes 47 years I've been playing, my parents taught me, and I still enjoy playing. OOOOPS, didn't mean to hijack the thread, sorry :'(

I tried bridge...a few of us got together to learn but never it took.

Whist is sort of a big card game of WAR with a partner across the table.

Now back to, he says in a deep, echoing voice...WHO ARE YOU?!

Hi Chief,
Haven't been or heard of Newport News since 1978 when the Indy (USS Independance) went into the yards. I was mustered out of the Navy from there. I was on the Cod crew. Before that I was in HC-6 out of Norfolk. I was an AE and Aircrew. Or is it vice versa. :)
