Where it all started!

I was looking back through some of my favorites tonight and came across this old thread that I saved. It is worth reading all 4 pages.

Looks like "Saands" was a savior of the P-64. I thoroughly enjoy shooting my two P-64s and this forum is excellent.

I have had a lot of fun with the P-64 ... and have learned a TON from this board and seeing how different parts of the design interact with others ... in hindsight the 16# mainspring mod was too aggressive, but it did take away a major complaint that the Mak lovers (and com-bloc bashers) were rallying around :) ... 20# seems much better and is now in all of the 64's in my extended family.

Saands, All of my springs are stock right now but I have been wanting to order some. What spring combo are you using? I was thinking 20# for both.

I am running the 20# mainspring (hammer spring) and the 22# recoil spring. The 22# recoil is hit or miss on fitting without mods ... I think that I have seen 5 installed, 3 went in without any mods at all, 2 required a slight dressing of the spring. A pair of 20's is not a bad option and will fit for sure.

Thanks, this forum has taught me more about the P-64 and other weapons than anyother site ever could. Also, the people in this forum are definitely generous and caring, that goes for the newest member to the oldest(not in years).
