For Polish handgun forum, you're sure short on Polaks.
Here is one now.
Born and raised in Warsaw, caught British Airways 747 to Chicago's O'Hare in '86.
Great year - in flight movie was TOP GUN, Da Bears were superbowl champs.
Things had changed - Chicago's winters gave place to Texas summers, Bears don't play as well, TOP GUN still has some coolest flying caught on film.
I'm fortunate, DFW has all the good places within driving distance: Cabela's, Bas Pro Shop, Cheaper Than Dirt, and my fav - Military Gun Supply.
That's where I picked up my first two P-64's (both 1968), other came from used gun display at CTD (this one is 1973).
It's ironic that I had to travel across half of the globe, and change my citizenship to be able to legaly own and enjoy Polish firearms.
God bless Texas! I can stroll Stockyards with P-64 in my pocket, unlike my countrymen.
What I gathered, firearm laws had changed in Poland after fall of comunism.
Before - no firearms, now - limited aproval, kind of like People's Republic of California:
one has to be rich, and/or well connected (preferably both).
Looking forward to chatting with you guys.

Welcome jakub66, there's a few of us here. I'm not from the mother county, but all my grandparents were. Again, glad you found your second home!!
Where is everyone from?
I'm Polish and proud, and that's why I bought my Pierogi Pistol. I probably wouldn't have to justify it that way, because I'd love it anyway. Live in West Dundee, IL.

jakub66: It is good to see someone from Poland post!! Can you put me in contact with the old country so I can buy some military 9x18 ammunition? Hey, just a thought.
tmkwdi: My wife is 1/2 Polish, my thesis adviser was all Polish: Polish people have been a big part of this Norwegian's life.
Welcome to you both.

If Boston's teams keep winning the fans from Minnesota are going to hate us...Big Papi, Kevin Garnett, Randy Moss and maybe Johan Santanna soon!!
Lets see my wife is a Polish and Russian Jew, I'm an Italian and French Catholic. My kids celebrate every holiday and are...mutts.
But you always find the best temperment in the mutts!!! ;D

LIKE BILL MURRAY IN STRIPES SAID
We're Americans.
With a capital A,
You know what that means?
that our forefathers...
...were kicked out of every
decent country in the world.
We are the wretched refuse.
We're the underdog.
We're mutts.
But there's no animal
that's more faithful...
...that's more loyal,
more loveable than the mutt.

jakub66,
Welcome aboard, glad to have you with us. It's a tough world when you have to travel across half the globe and change your citizenship to be able to legally own and enjoy a Czak. With three P-64's it would appear that you have made the transition pay off.
tmkwdi,
Welcome aboard, glad to have you with us too. I'm not Polish, 100% Kentuckian, but I love the different types of stuffed pirogies. I see your in the Chicago area which I understand is the American capital of Poland, great city to visit, but for a country boy its to big for me, however I had a college classmate that was from West Dundee, Il, which is a small town just west of Chicago, got to visit with him a few year back, neat little town.
