P-64 vs. P-63
P-64 vs. P-63
My buddy asked a question that I just can't answer. He is considering purchasing a P-63 instead of the P-64. I would like to know some reasons to give him to stick with the P-64. I think, and may misunderstand, that there are no spring adjustments available for the P-63.
Can someone shed some light on this subject? I know that some P-64 owners also have purchased the P-63, so what gives?
Thanks.

Well, the PA-63 is uglier (quick duck) .. the P-64 is all steel and the PA-63 has an aluminum frame. I've read where that aluminum frame reduces the service life, and because of that frame you have to be more cautious about what kind of ammo you shoot. You can't go with the stouter loads.
A lot of people really like the PA-63, and because they're inexpensive now they get used a lot for truck guns. There are spring replacements available that Norm can fill you in on.

hmm. I guess you're talking about a FEG PA-63. A p63 is a fighter plane. If you're referring to the FEG PA-63, there are spring mods avaliable. You can get lighter (9, 11, or 13 lb) hammer spring and a heavier (13 or 15lb recoil spring) for it from Wolff. I have the gun and the springs, just haven't put them in yet.
You should be able to get a PA-63 cheaper than a P64. I bought both, but like the overal size and feel (and color, i'm pretty partial to black) of the P64 better.

the PA-63 has a Titanium-Aluminium alloy frame witch makes it lighter , the barrel is bit longer, wolf makes spring for it too

This ain't no ugly PA-63!
I honestly hate 2-tone guns, so when I found a good deal on one that had everything hard-chromed except the frame....I had to have it.

Tell your buddy so make it an easy decision and purchase both!

If only it were C&R I'd pick one up like volfandan's. I don't like the 2 tone either. I like the size as it is a bit larger that the P-64. But it would be for plinking as the P64 is still my CCW piece due to it's size.

Ugly, huh?
