The value in this firearm is the way it is built. There are many pocket pistols made today and that might keep the price down, but these little guns are built well and will outlast any plastic fantastic toy. I have my doubts any other foreign pistol this size will ever be approved for import, surely no handgun made here is going to be made with as many machined parts in this size firearm.
That, my friends, is the true value. While I just don't have the money to buy anything I want and go shooting every week, this is a purchase I made and will hold on to. Buy one, put some springs in it and try it out. This gun could very well save your(or a great grandchild's) life in the future. It hides well and is accurate.

The only pistol I have that comes close to plastic is the Star Ultrastar with the steel reinforced polly frame. It has features that were ahead of it's time. It is my main carry gun and the first time out to the range it ran 4 different brands of ammo including HP w/o a single problem.

Just today bought another Star BM at our local gunshow. $199 out the door, cleaning rod, 2 oem magazines, original how to manual, in Spanish, and in the original box serial numbered to the pistol in good+ condition. Can't resist these damn things, shoot so sweet and comfortable to carry. Hope someday someone offers me $300 for it but I am not sure I would sell it. And like Guitarmannick said, I too like my old steel framed guns.

Very nice Curly. How long have you had it and are those real mother of pearl or Faux pearl?
My newest one has a fair amount of wear but it is honest wear, not abuse and no putting or rust.

Given that they aren't being made anymore one should in the next decade or two expect to see some price increase. Right now the market is saturated, but that will change. We saw this with Lugers after WWII when you could buy one for about $15 mail order. LoL, not anymore.

I missed out on these when they were being imported. However, I came across one at my LGS today and they were asking $299 for a nice one (some holster wear near the muzzle) that had a CAI billboard on the slide. It came with a holster and an extra mag. I offered $200 and the consignee countered at $250. It came home with me. Looks like I need to order some Wolff springs.
