You're welcome.
Before ordering, make sure it hasn't slipped off. However, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a new TB and TS.

I don't quite understand. The TB spring has somehow departed the gun and did so at the range evidently. In fact I don't even know what it looks like aside from the pic you sent. Do you mean the new spring I'm going to get slipping off my TB?

The most likely scenario involves the spring breaking from fatigue and the pieces falling out of the gun and you did not see them. A spring in one piece should not be able yo fall out unless it's anchor points have become damaged or broken so it can become loose. As expensive as the trigger spring is not, buy 2 in case of a repeat. And given that this spring has broken due to fatigue it.may be a good idea to get a full set of springs. Wolff springs has the main ones for the PA-63 which should be identical to yours. And get some snap caps, no dry firing without them unless you want to replace the firing pin.

Yeah got the snap caps for all my guns thanks. Still haven't found the spring on the company site you sent me though. Have lots of others. Can you send the link to the exact spring you were referring to?

It may have slipped off. If you shake the gun can you hear the spring rattle inside the trigger area? If not, then as Ketch said, it most likely broke and fell out of the gun. I have spare parts for almost all of my guns, just the ones that I can easily replace without needing a gunsmith to do the job.

Same to you.
One more thing just to satisfy my curiosity. Strip the gun like you did but while holding the hammer with one hand slowly squeeze the trigger letting the hammer fall slowly. Then shine a light in the slot where the front of the TB goes into the trigger. Turn it so you can see into the trigger well. Can you see the TS coil? It's behind the trigger.

I can see the coil in the forward hole and its tang in the rear. Seems normal, is it?

The coil captures the male end of the TB. Either the part of the TS that goes in the TB slot slipped off or snapped off. The only way you are going to find out is by removing the TB. Either way, I would buy a spare one.

Two sets of YouTube videos on disassembly and assembly. If after watching them you aren't comfortable doing it, take it to a smith. Good luck.

Wow thanks for the research and insight here. Just what I was looking for! Machinery big and small are what I do best so no issue with the work. Will report back when I'm done. GMAN

Ok Gents, I'm back at it. Trigger and spring out and issue in hand. TS has fatigue crack at first 90 deg bend. Pic gives some idea with the discontinuity in the elbow. No strength left and will fall off if I just push on it a little.

Ok so off to find the replacement or two.
