Thanks Ketchman, Got 2 on order from Numrich last night. Think $6.50 a bit outrageous to ship something that small.

It used to be if you called the Numirch number to order a recording would give yo a promo code to enter for free shipping if you hung up and ordered online.

Hmmm, should have called then. Oh well fixed gun for $20 pretty reasonable with an extra spring. And hooking up with you guys for knowledge I did not have... PRICELESS! Thanks again.

:D Ok springs arrived and FEG SMC 380 back in working order! Thanks so much for the help again here guys. Operational issue: With gun in fire mode, seems unusually difficult to cock with slide. No issue when in safe mode. Is this normal? :?:

Good to hear you're back up and running. Yes, mine is also not easy to rack the slide. Has to do with the weight of the recoil spring.

New springs(designed for your specific piece) will make a new gun out of it. I have bought a few old pocket pistols that looked new, but wouldn't cycle correctly and every one of them had worn out springs. Maybe the steel wasn't that good 100 years ago and they just lost tension? I don't know, but if I get a pistol that doesn't cycle, changing all the springs that work together will do the job. I haven't run across a worn out gun yet, just those that needed new springs.

I had similar issues with a Star B. Would not cycle until I replaced all of the springs. Now it runs like a clock and eats almost anything.
