P64 Magazines in Stock???

Post by Cobalt-60 »

SOG appears to have P64 magazines in stock. I placed an order for an extra after 1700 EST online today (a Friday) and did not get a confirmation. If I do not hear something by Monday when they open, I will call.

I ordered three of them, and they are legit. I placed my order on either 8/1 or 8/2, and they were delivered on 8/4 via UPS (I'm in Northern Virginia). The three I ordered cost me ~$60: $15.95/ea + 3% CC fee + $11 shipping. Hope this helps!

Yup, just got my confirmation email for WAAAAAYYY more of them than my wife thinks I'm ordering. The shipping isn't bad either. Have to wonder when the site won't quote shipping until after the order is placed...
They've got some excellent condition P64's in stock for a decent price too.

How did the ones you get look? Already have a few on the way myself.

Ordered 8/7 and shipping was reasonable (better then I thought it would be after reading FAQ).

Sorry, been super busy. Got a confirmation while I was out of town (with no connectivity) on Monday from SOG: $16.43 + $7.15 S&H via USPS for a single magazine for a total of $23.58. A fair price for a surplus out-of-production magazine (I paid more for a surplus CZ-82 magazine from MidwayUSA recently.)

UPDATE: Got confirmation this morning that it shipped yesterday.

The three I received all had serial numbers etched in them. I can take some pictures and post them when I get home (if I remember).

I got mine today in the USPS.

It is a surplus post-72 ("new") magazine with one set of electro-pencil serial numbers (the hand-picked 1970 model P64 I got from AIM Surplus in 2015 came with one each pre-/post-72 magazines which both had multiple serial numbers), and a spring that is much tighter (and brighter) than the other ones.

For the record, I have never had any problems using the longer feed-ramp ("new") P64 magazines in my 1970 ("old" model) pistol.

Of the 10 I got 6 had serial numbers etched on the and 4 looked like NOS with no etching. All post 1972 mags and the non etched ones had stronger bright steel springs.
I'm very happy with them.

Too bad they didn't come yesterday, I went to the range today and could have tested them.

Thanks for the heads up. I just received confirmation on my order for 2. Almost ordered some aftermarket mags, but I am glad I waited.

Received mine today. Both had numbers etched on them and one had a broken floor plate. I called Lisa at SOG and they are sending out another floor plate today. Very happy with the customer service!
One mag is pre-72 and one is post-72 and both are in very good condition.
