Yep, I said wolf on the other thread and I meant silver bear. Thought those were alum, but I guess I was wrong about that. I lubed up both weapons (Even rugers don't perform well dry) and was able to rack through a whole mag on each, so that's fixed.

This silver bear with the hollow points works fine, though I would like a cheaper lead or FMJ for range shooting. I'll dig around here, not many places carry MAK here, though.

Mine like the S&B 95gr fmj stuff the best at 25yds six out of six in the x ring......not too bad ;D

Once I polished the feed ramp, it will shoot everything 100% of the time.

Their website shows a 70-grain 9x18 FMJ that travels 1,290-fps. Interesting.

Along with the 93 and 95-grain rounds that we've seen in the past.

The only others that I've ran through mine have been Winchester and some Barnaul 95gr HP.

I only have had one failure to feed on the CCI aluminum cased, that was in the first 75 rounds fired. It was in the 3rd mag of that ammo and the 4th round of the mag. Have since run 75 more of the same ammo with no issues.

Did have an initial load of Hornady not feed into the chamber, not sure if it was just dirty, didn't clean after 125+, or if I need to polish up the feed ramp a little. It did manage to shorten up the overall length of that round by about an 1/8 of an inch. Needless to say, that one won't be fired!!

Total of approx. 265 rounds fired so far. The last 145 round were with the 22# recoil spring and firingpin spring combo, and the 20# hammer(main) spring.

Didn't notice that much of a change in recoil, just didn't seem to nip in the web between the thumb and index finger. The D/A decreased enough to were I can always pull through it completely everytime, yet when I let my 11 yr son dryfire it, he needs to use 2-3 fingers to pull through. My D/A accuracy had also improved from high and right 6'', to right to were I'm aiming from 5-7 yards out.

Yesterday I took my Mak to the range for the first time. A gun dealer in town sold me 50 rounds of Silver Bear 115 grain hollow points for $8 (quite a deal!). I ran the whole box through and had a few jamming problems after the first shot. Gun is good and lubed (possibly overlubed). I wasn't sure if my problems were the result of not holding gun firm enough, or if these 115 bullets were too hot for my P-64. Any advice would surely be helpful. Should I go for different ammo (because my dealer has lots of this Silver Bear in stock), or do I just need to man-up?
Lastly, since my P-64 is a concealed weapon are there any opinions on Glaser Safety Slugs? I read a review saying they could not cycle a Walther PPK reliably.
