Papabear,
That gun brings back memories, they were the cutting edge in police work a looong time ago. Still will get the job done.

LAKELAND GUN SHOW

if you guys are in Ga when they have them at the North Atlanta Trade center, it's good stuff. don't go to the one in forest park (which is more common) unless you are despirate for ammo or just really bored, it was wierd though one part of the building was a gun show the next part down was a military surplus show and the third was an exotic bird show

the building was separated off between the 3 shows (aparantly it's made for multiple shows) but the next time they are there is septer 29-30. There was a guy selling alot of m1 carbine/ other wwII stuff there, I may have gotten a card (I know you like this stuff) I'll scrounge through my cards and see. I bought some boxes of silverbear HP 9x18 for like 7 something a box. I didn't make it into the mil-surp show though (I was running low on time) but hopefully they will co-inside at the same place next time (i'm trying to figure out who did the militaria show to see their schedule but I'm having trouble, If anyone has any militaria show websites, that may help)

Norm,

I try to get to that show every time it occurs. Its always been a good show, lots of tables. I have wanted to go to the show in Lakeland but the one in Tampa is always just a week later and an hour closer. I have been to the show they put on in Palmetto a few times as well but that one is always small and to easy to walk through.

Can't make the Lakeland show this time, I'm doing a show in Hopkinsville, Ky. this weekend. It's only 40 miles from the house, I can drive back and forth each day. One of these days I will make the Lakeland show so I can hook up with you guys. I have some friends in the Tampa area also I would like to visit too. Have a good show guys.

Thanks Norm, appreciate the offer, just may take you up on that, and no problem with the dogs, in my younger days I woke up with a lot of em.......... ;D Never left the bars with a ugly woman, but sure did wake up with some. I was stationed at MacDill in Tampa, roamed the beaches of Clearwater, Indian Rocks, Madeira and St Pete all the time in the middle 60's, I loved that area back then, don't know what its like today, but back then it was GREAT!!!

You still working in that area? I think you said you were working there at night. Oh my now that would be a night to remember, yes that can be arranged, old Ybor City, I think that is off Nebraska ave right or somewhere near there. I remember the riots there in the summer of 67' just few months before I left for Nam, I think you said it is much worse there now, there use to be a nice Spanish restaurant there, the Columbian or something like that. I will have to make plans to make that trip down there now for sure.
