Looks amazing. How long would you say this took you to do? And how much of an investment is it for all the necessary materials?
From the pictures, the gun appears a little rough - or maybe textured is the word I'm looking for. Is that just a result of the camera flash?
It took a day but now that I know the trick to putting the trigger spring in I could do it in about 5-6 hours probably. The finish is textured like parkerizing like a modern firearms finish like a Glock or H&K. The camera does not do it justice though. Cost me about $240 to buy all necessary stuff to do several guns.

So what your saying is that if I send you a pistol and $8 you could duracoat mine?! Honey where's the check book? Do we have an extra $10 (I'm not cheap, 25% tip is deserving)!!!

How about $45.00. And shipping, and FFL fees. Both ways. Where's your checkbook now?

I checked several places for refinishing the way I did by stripping it down and sand blasting it, parkerizing it and then Duracoating it and then re-assembley seems to cost about $150 to $180. I would probably charge about $120 including doing the grips.

Thank you for all your feedback. I love detail and enjoy being thorough in all the work I do. I enjoy holster work including western rigs as well as concealment. I am going to start refinishing pistols as a hobby and a few P-64's and Makarov's for friends. I am going to do some things like stainless trigger and hammer or even like different color grips like a dark earth tone. If there is anyone interested let me know and I will do the work for a pretty reasonable price. I will not be able to do to many since I am really busy with the holster business however, I will post the details below if anyone is interested. I already have one member sending his P-64. Thanks again for all of your feedback.
