Just took delivery of my first P-64 last night from J&G. I opted for the better grade, though I did not spring the extra money for hand select. Could not be more pleased. Finish is flawless. 1968 model with the round hammer. Bought a second magazine from them and was pleased to see that the quality matched the primary mag that came with the pistol. Springs from Wolff also came in the mail, so I'll be changing those out this weekend and then off to the range. Very nice weapon for a very nice price. I know -- I should post pictures. Will do so later this evening when I get home.

I've purchased from both in the past. Never had a real problem with either one.

it can be hit or miss these days when buying a p64. it looks like all vendors are at the bottom of the barrel with the guns.

I have a post about my J&G pistol. Very satisfied with what I received! I should have ordered a 2nd magazine at the time. They seem to be a bit pricey on EBay.

Just bought one yesterday from J&G. I live right down the street from them, so I had them bring me out a couple of each grade. I eventually settled on a hand-select ($250) one in immaculate condition. I'm extremely pleased with what I got. It was made in '75, but it looks like it was made yesterday.

The "good," condition was just that. A decent amount of holster wear, but very little internal wear.
The "very goods," tended to have less wear in either department.
"Hand select," all looked like NOS guns that were never issued.

What kind of import stamp does it have? I bought one online and it came with the CAI billboard on the left side top of slide. Not impressed. Why cant they put the stamp some where it's not so noticeable?

I prefer the PW Arms stamp, it is cleaner then the CAI.

Yes but lordy did they have to use 90 tons of pressure to imprint?? I can feel the edges of imprint.

Are the P64 at AIMs coming from different sources? I got this same one from them, made in 76 and the finish is very nice.
