If I try to put 7 in the mag, it won't go. I put one in the mag and load the tube (if you put the rd in the tube by hand, you can cause it to jam). Then I load the mag with six....BUT, if my gun worked best with only six, then thats what I would use. My wheel gun in LE only held six, and it worked.

I put 6 in the mag and lock and load, no jams in over 3,000 rounds fired in all five of my P-64's, with fifteen mags, all mags came with the P-64's, no after market mags.

Six plus one at Home, or carrying along....

Six at the Range....

No jams, except with a worn out clip I got, used, at a show....

I wish I had left it there, for $15.00.... It is not reliable.

Why, do you ask???

QUESTION FOR p-64 only

Post by normsutton »

right now I'm only concerned with the P-64

this could save a life
if carried with 1 in the tube and 6 in the mag
how many of you know for a fact that this combo won't jam on the 2nd round when fired

now realy think on this

I've racked a round , taken out the magazine and put one more in the mag and reloaded the magazine . Never jammed on me once. I don't load the chamber by hand though , not sure it would or could make a difference.

Why do you think it would jam on the second round???

I have had a few jams, with that ragged clip, but never on the second round.....

Yes I am talking about a P-64!

So save our lives, and tell us what you are getting at???

Norm,

Can't help on that, with my P-64's I only put six in the mag, rack the slide and flip on the safety, at the range I just put 6 in mag, rack the slide and fire away.

With the worn out clip, at the range, six rounds.

I see what you are getting at, people are keeping this weapon
loaded in a way that they may not be practicing with.

Relying on it in a way you really have not used it over and over again at the range....Hell of a point.

I always carry with one in the chamber and the mag topped off, whether I'm carrying the CZAK or otherwise. I haven't got to fire the CZAK much, when I did I fired it the way I carry it for the first mag, then reload with 6, rack the slide, and fire again...

Thanks Norm and Truth, I've been putting five in the mag at the range because thats how many come in a row, but I carry 6 and 1. I see my error and I will correct it. Later Don
