Dan:
The P-64 is noted for coming equipped with worn out magazines. That is probably your problem. Get some new ones from Forward Supply. They are only $10. Their email address is www.forwardsupply.com/

I have owned several P-64s and have bought and sold a lot of original P-64 magazines and have not yet come across any worn out magazines. Has this been your experience or are you echoing advertising hype?

Forward Supply now has an additional $10.00 fee for low amount
order -- magazines must be ordered in 7 or more quanity to
avoid the low order fee.

Beasleydano:
I bought only one P-64 with 2 magazines. Neither one of them worked very well. I bought 3 mags from makarov.com and the problems went away. I must admit the Forward Supply ad has influenced my thinking, but I do not doubt that others have had the same problem. Neverthelss, it is my admittedly limited experience. I am sure that some P-64's work fine with the mags that come with them.

My opinion is that 99% of the origional mags are just fine. You cleaned the gun, but did you dissassemble and clean the mags?

Noted for worn-out magazines?? By Who? I've never heard that claim anywhere.

P-64 jams?

In my humble opinion, mirother is a spammer. I personally do not know ANYBODY who matters here that has had a problem with the original mags. Furthermore, I've not seen one that was not new, unissued(never used).
The aftermarket mags may be OK, but we should not let anybody scare us into buying them at double the price we were offered here.

P-64 jams?

He said at first the hollow points fed and then later they stopped . Did the magazines suddenly get worse? I think not. I suspect there is another explaination for the malfunction. For the record , my 3 original mags from SOG rocked from the git-go. No cleaning, no break in, just load and go. With all the spring swappin and snippin and grindin going on lately on these P-64's it's a wonder any of them are working right. Mine did'nt work 100% until I put it back to full factory.
