Got this tasty ruffed grouse the other day while elk hunting with my boys.

It was in-season and I have a license to hunt grouse & grouse hunting with handguns is legal in my state, so I suppose so.

Got it in the neck from 25' away, didn't even ruin any meat. We cooked it up and ate it when we got home. Tastes like chicken of course.

Ain't legal to use semi autos for hunting where I live but some of you live with reasonable laws.

Haha! Nice. In MA, it's illegal to carry a handgun in WMA's that are stocked with upland birds (during the season at least). Nice shootin'!

They are allowed for defense here, not sure if you can hunt with them. Another odd restriction pertains to snowmobiles:

"It is unlawful for any person to drive or operate any snowmobile:
...
With a firearm in the person’s possession, unless it is unloaded and enclosed in a carrying case. However, a nonambulatory person may carry an uncased and unloaded firearm while operating or riding a snowmobile."
