Excites to join the page. Just bought a p64 off classic firearms a month ago for 229! Love the gun went to te range 2 times with it an probably put 150 rounds through it with Lve ammo. Not one hiccup and is extremely accurate at 20 yards. I just bought 1000 rounds of brown bear and was wondering if it was bad for the p64 to shoot it. I have heard mixed reviews and just wanted to confirm it.

That ammo is fine. Think about Wolff springs for a much smoother trigger action and less felt recoil.

Welcome to the forum.

You are lucky to find ammo at this time.

Yea I got 1000 rounds for 230 from sportsman guide. Keep on checking on ammoseek.com they will find all the ammo on every site. That's the only reason I found it.

If it came down to it and I can't find any self defense rounds do you guys think that the bear ammo would do any damage as self defense ammo?

Well I wouldn't want to take one for the team with it.

I believe I would have to agree with you on that.

Some 9x18 hollow point rounds don't expand much (if any) anyway. Silverbear in particular. I don't think a FMJ round would do any less damage than a HP round that doesn't open. Just curious, which 9x18 rounds DO reliably expand?
