gun show report

Post by amd6547 »

Went to the large Medina Ohio gun show today, P64's ranged from $159 to $200. Not one Polish holster.
Plenty of ammo--Silver Bear 115 jhp was $7.95/box, Fiocchi fmj was $ 6.95, and Brown Bear fmj was $6.95.
I havn't seen any surplus S&B ball that others have written about, only the S&B commercial stuff.
Not one Makarov or CZ82 in the show. Nor were there any Swiss K31's, a rifle I have High regard for, and which I was considering buying a second.

New member here and new P64 owner. Bought mine at the gun show in Ft.Myers, Fla today for $149.00. Sold a Beretta 21(22 cal) for $170.00 about 2 minutes after I walked in the dooor. Beretta worked fine but wanted something with a bit more punch. Will let you know more about the P64 after I shoot it some.

fjblackesq...
If he was the one near the front of the show..he raised his prices to match the other sellers. He still had the holsters and mags cheap.

Got a call from a friend in Orlando at the gun show this morning. He is looking for a P64 after seeing mine. As soon as he calls me back, I will let you know what kind of luck he had .

Well, according to my friend, there was only one P-64 at the show and they were asking $180.00 for it. He didn't buy it as he had hoped to get one for around $150.00. I told him that he should have picked it up. I foresee the prices going up and $180.00 being a pretty good price. Anybody else priced any lately?

Well, I see AIM surplus is still selling them for $139. They sell to individuals here in Ohio at their location (that is where I got my swiss K31), charging the same price seen on their website, plus a $10 NICS fee for non-FFL's like me, plus tax. Not sure if they cut FFL' s a deal. I bought my K31 there because my job had me down there and I stopped in to buy a Walther P1---unfortunately, they had just filled a 40 pistol order that morning and were sold out. They are about a four hour drive from me--good thing, or I would be going there all the time!

At the Show in Lima, Ohio today, P-64 I saw three all had the thumb rest. $155.00, $179.00 and $190.00. Saw one CZ82 at $295.00. Five Makarovs. $179.00 and up to $350.00 for an East German. A surplus dealer without any P-64's did have a new P-64 Magazine for $15.00, that went home with me.

In the last 2 weeks I visited 2 shows in Houston and Pasadena Texas. I am not sure what is happening everywhere else, but there are very few Makarovs right now. I did see one Bulgy today for $275.
There are quite a few P-64's for sale ranging in price from $165 to $200.
It looks to me that the P-64 is filling the void that is left from the absence of the Maks here in the houston area. I would expect the membership to this great site will increase because of this.
