round count
i wonder how many rounds these p-64s are good for. i shoot mine quite a bit as it is now a truck gun making it handy to stop and pop off a box or two. yesterday when i went to the closet to replenish the truck ammo stock, i noted i have 1050 rounds left, which means i have put a little over 14000 thousand rounds thru this thing. it seems to be as good as ever. no bad for a $125.00 used gun. i'm amazed at how reliable it is.
Re: round count
14 thousand rounds!
Now that is indeed a testament to the quality of these guns.

Re: round count
Nice to know they'll hold up that long!
Re: round count
14,000!!?? WOW, are you sure a zero didn't get slipped in there somewhere? I can't imagine firing that many rounds thru this little gun. I just popped off 7 rounds a 20 yards , 3shots in the 3/4" bullseye and four shots within 2 1/2"
This thing is very accurate.

Re: round count
ya'll got me second guessing my math now no, the count is somewhere around that. i'm retired and live in the country, so it is easy to just step out the door and pop some off. my 800 yard range calls with a loud voice, if you know what i mean. i shoot some kind of firearm about every day but sunday. my wife and friends know to give me ammo or reloading supplies for every occaision that warrants a gift. out of curiousity 14000 rounds in the 5 years averages about a box a week.
badger, better watch out, at the rate you're going you could easily run about 12000 thru yours in 5 years.
by the way, i'll get together some pics of this thing. it's not like any one i've ever seen.

Turbocat, I wasn't questioning your honesty, just impressed. I can shoot just about anytime I want also but I am not that prolific. Sounds like fun and I am glad to know the P64 is capable of lasting that long.

Re: round count
turbo, i plan on slowing down a little. i just shot alot in a few times to the range. my hands were sore after a couple times. just wanted to see what these things can handle. one trip shot 250 before i took it home for a good cleaning. very reliable little gun. very accurate. i do notice i hit the target more on the left side of the bulls eye than right. i think a have a natural pull tward the left when pulling the trigger. i seem to be able to correct if i really concentrate on the proplem while shooting. who knows? do you have any tips?

i'm not computer savvy, but at least the photos came thru. i bought this thing used on gunbroker about 5 years ago. i have no idea who did the work. i tried to e-mail the seller but got no response.

Interesting modification how does it perform in getting a sight picture?

thats super sick... lol i wish mine had that
Re: round count
curly, when you couple the natural pointing with this mod, it is unreal. most of my targets are clods of dirt and 6in. paper plates at 10 to 15 yards. with two handed hold, just put the b-b on the plate, and you're somewhere on the plate. this is probably one of a kind, and i love it.
