Is the Radocy Guide more complete than other guides?

Post by mojo357 »

Has anyone here seen the Radocy P-64 Disassembly Guide?

It claims to be a complete takedown guide but is not many pages.
I'm wondering if it is worth getting. Are there any info or tips or
illustrations in it that go beyond the guides available here?

I need to take my gun apart to troubleshoot some problems
but I'm a newbie and don't want to end up with a bunch of
puzzle pieces I can't get back together. The guides here
are good but I'd like to be as prepared as possible before
I make the leap.

Thanks.

What more are you looking for beyond Junius's vids?

I just thought it would be helpful to have a printed guide handy.
The Radocy listing is enticing. I was just wondering if
anyone has looked it over and if so what's in it. Not
looking to spend any bucks on it if I don't have to.

I managed to take it down using the video; I think
the plunger retaining pin is my problem. There seems
to be a piece sheared off. But I'm not sure.

Am I missing something? Where is this book he's talking about?
If you carry in Condition 3, you have two empty chambers. One in the weapon...the other between your ears.

If you google Radocy p-64 you should find the link. Actually it's for sale
cheaper on ebay. But it's just a pamphlet, not a book. Maybe it's something
for the P-64 completist. (LOL)

But Curly is right. I just sat down and took my gun apart using Junius' video
and it couldn't have been easier. I think I found my problem and how to fix it.

(Yay!)

Mojo, if you want a FREE paper guide, go here. You just have to print it. Glad my videos were helpful to you.

I was going to mention that PDF manual as well. :D 74 pages of some of the best detailed manual in pdf form I've ever seen... On ANY product! My $50 laser printer is so crappy, I'll just have a print shop print out the pdf. Nonetheless, it might be interesting to have that other one from eBay just for comparison. How many pages is that one??

Remember, there is no such thing as TMI (Too Much Information), unless, you are telling us how often you fart in church  *laffs, JK*. Just be wary of dis-information. When they start talking about grinder bits on a Dremel tool....well, you know how "fast" to run.

I'm no "Gunsmith", but I hold 6 ASE certifications in automotive repair. My specialties are engine performance & repair, and Air Conditioning! I've only owned 2 guns in my 51 years, 1st was an AMT 380 backup, 2nd was a Glock 19 <--that Ruled! Yet, I'm quite clueless on what to purchase as a CHP firearm. The ATF has "charged my card for $30", so the C&R is en-route, and the P64 is on the top of my list. The Nagant revolver and the Mosin 91 are 2 and 3. (M44 fourth). So.....WHO has the better looking C&R's?? AIM, J&G, SOG, Classic.us?? I guess I'll learn soon.

Not so fast, buddy. The fact that ATFE got your $$$ doesn't necessariy mean that that your C&R is in the mail, unless they've changed since I last got mine renewed. It normally takes 4 to 6 weeks from beginning to end of processing AFTER receipt of payment. And, BTW, don't think about contacting them to speed things up; doesn't work. Having said that, I still consider it the best $30 investment I've ever made. As to the quality of the listed sellers, I can only say that I got mine (w/2 mags & full rig) from AIM & it's in very good condition. HTH.
"Jeez, Tommy, don't you believe in anything?
Yeah, I believe in ammo. As much as I can carry."

My Classic Arms purchases have been excellent quality.
