Hey Nickster, I like the spam recipe. My wife is from Louisiana, and hates to fry spam for me because of the smell. This might get her to make it more often.

We are all a lil flakey Nick. I grew up in Virginia, and if it wasn't for spam & gravy, we would have starved. ;)

Nickster, she fries fish the same way, except doesn't use the egg. Might have to try that or milk, since she just shakes the filets in the seasoned corn meal and flour.

May have to go buy a can of spam, too, since I haven't had any in a long time. Grew up on it.

Egg n milk/hafnhaf just provides a good n sticky surface 4 da meal n flour 2 latch on 2. Not a big batter fan n don't cotten 2 double dippin' but da texture 4 me compliments while contrastin' da meat. Sounds good enuff 4 shur. Dammitt all if'n I ain't just ate n geettin' hungry all over again...........

Grayfox, Nice 2 know I ain't da only nut in da boat..............

This PROVES my point about nick. I interpret:

<I couldn't get past: "wood dat b fool bat tree Norm" >

as meaning: Fools would live in Bayou La Batre!

This tell me he is Cajun for sure~!

I would think it would be hard to write like that--I know it is hard to read it.
Anyway, it is never a good idea to ride the slide when loading, decocker or not.
I usually load with the decocker applied. The hammer seems to ride the slide closed, not like snapping it when cocked and letting the hammer drop. When I use the decocker to lower the hammer on a loaded chamber (or unloaded, for that matter), I lower the hammer with my thumb while pushing the lever down.

Hey guys, I like fried Spam too! But it dies smell up the kitchen a little. Another item I like is Haggus from Scotland! This is mostly internal organs and a lot of blood. Talk about STINK UP the entire house, it takes 3 days for it to clear out, LOL! The wife said NO MORE of this!

My Dad was a WWII vet, and grew to like Spam in the war. He loved to make fried Spam sandwiches, and scrambled eggs with fried Spam. Somehow, I never learned to like it...
