RK.59 9mm

Post by dskeetah »

I have a Hungarian RK.59 9MM pistol. A dumb-ass stole my clip and left the pistol. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find a 6-round magazine for this pistol.

Thanks,

I read that a PA-63 mag will fit in the RK-59 but may hang out a tad. You may have to go that route. I saw a lot of warnings about shooting the RK-59 as they say the metallurgy is bad and the frame will break.

Thank you. I will try finding that particular mag. Junius: it is an aluminum frame, and I am wondering if there is some truth behind that statement, regardin the metallurgy.

It's going to be funny when someone tries to use those 9x18s in a 9mm!

They'll probably jam up in the chamber or mis-feed. And that's if they even fit into the magazine.

But, yeah, could be potential kaboom.

Just to clarify. Your Rk59 should be a 9mm Makarov or 9x18mm/ The PA-63 mags will fit but they will hang down at the bottom because they are a7 round mag. Any 6 round mag for the smc 918, smc380 or R61 should fit it like a glove. I would check on gunbroker.com
