Grip Screw Question

Post by Tikka »

Howdy,
The left side of my pistol has a square, steel washer on the screw end -- is this standard, does anyone have something like it, or is there a button or somesuch that usually covers it? The screw head on the other side is black, as in the photos I just Googled.
Thanks y'all,
Tikka.

Never seen any washers on them. Wonder if the grip screw is long like mine and someone wanted to take up some of the threads on the nut end. ?? Strange.

Do you mean a square-sided nut, vice washer? If so, someone, somewhere along the line lost the original round nut & got a hardware store replacement. HTH.

Oops, right, said "washer" but meant nut--it's a small square and thin nut. My guess is "hardware store replacement" is answer to my query, since it definitely seems to be non-standard. Thanks.
