cleaning tool question

What is the intended use for the tip of the cleaning tool that came with my P-64? It looks like a small punch. Thanks, Joel

Good question. It may be for dislodging the mag spring from the notch for mag disassembly (the tip you're referring to fits the notch perfectly), but that's just a guess. Be interesting to see if anyone knows for sure.

Well, but I wrapped a cleaning patch around it tonight and cleaned under the extractor, and I used it to push the firing pin in past the safety barrel, but I still don't know if those are intended uses. Joel
