Prosepective P64 owner

Hey everybody,

I called a local gun shop and they have a P64 for about $190. I frequent this shop, and the guy is a little crazy so I didn't ask to many questions and I am waiting till I can go in and look for myself. Is this a good price for one of these? I'm not sure if it comes with anything extra like a mag or holster or even what shape it is in, I know he doesn't sell things that won't fire though.

I just need to figure out what exactly I need to look for in the pistol, how much i should be paying with or without accessories (this guy likes to haggle). The only thing that worries me is that he said "Polish Makarov" but i'm fairly certain this is ignorance. I just assume its a P64....

I'm interested in these guns because I need a decent concealed carry piece, I have a stockpile of 9X18, and i'd like a gun i can fix little problems with. Any advice for purchasing?

That's about the going rate, I'd take it.

That's a fair price. I'd do it!

Course if it is an actual Polish 'Makarov', then that's a fantastic price, as it might be the only one in existence!

I checked and it only comes with one magazine. I haven't seen it in person yet, is there anything in particular I should look for on it? I plan on inspecting it before i buy it i'd just like to know if there are any common problems with these guns.

The P64 is a great gun. You get a lot for the price. It is very slim and very accurate! You will probably want more magzines. Sometimes they are hard to find. You may want to start looking now.

I am quite happy with my P-64 and that price is about right.

I was just out at the range last week and put 350 odd rounds though my P-64.
No failure to fire or eject the entire time and accuracy is excellent for the size.

The trigger spring and grips are the only changes I have made to the firearm
and trust it enough to carry it daily along with my NAA .22mag revolver.

I think for the money it is one of the best buys on the market. It is concealable, accurate and ammo is not hard to find. I just gave my son one of my p-64's and he is one happy camper. I carry mine alot and have never felt under gunned. That is a good price on that p-64, I say buy it.

Aim has them right now for $179.99 with 18.97 shipping. So, I would say yes, it's not a bad price.

Just got one from Royal Tiger Imports. Hand picked, two magazines, original holster, with original cleaning rod that is carried in the holster. $199.00 plus shipping and handling. Wear marks non-existent & seriously considering getting another. Can also get X-tra mags for about $25.00. From this co. tho, you will probably have to do business over the phone as there Internet service is not secure & will leave you open to theft. First hand knowledge of this. Knowing this now, it would not bother me to buy another one from them.

The security certificate for their order page expired a month or two ago, that's all. I checked just now and it seems to be correct now. I ordered two mags from them a few weeks ago over the phone with no problem. Got the mags in a little over a week.

Great info about Royal Tiger imports, I was wondering if I would be able to find spare mags for my P-64 (soon to be arriving from AIM).

There was a guy on Gun Broker in Europe who sells the magazines. I got one from him and it was a quality piece. Sorry I don't recall the name, but he was selling them for about $20 not including shipping.

I got a P-64 from AIM and when I disassembled it to clean it, it looked like someone had just done it. Really won't go wrong with AIM if you decide to make the purchase.
