DA only?

Post by fknipfer1 »

The P64 is small enough to be shot DA only, I wish I knew of a way to block the SA. 7 to 10yds is about as much as I am ever going to shoot the P64. Those ranges don't really require a SA and you can lighten the DA a lot with new hammer springs. Now to figure out how to block the SA ????
Maybe I am just dreaming.

I'm not sure what the advantage would be in bypassing the single action stage in this gun. If you're thinking the SA pull is too light and you'd prefer just a lighter DA pull, you'd eventually go too light to keep the mag in and produce reliable primer strikes.

Would it be possible to bypass the hammer cocking? Sure, but it wouldn't be safe and wouldn't make much sense.
