ssurfzombie,

OOOPS, I missed your post about EEZOX, for me its been a great product, I started using it a few years back when I lived in the St. Louis area were the humidity is horrific in the summer. due to the heat and the two rivers that join there. I had a couple rifles rust up a tad due to the humidity, and a friend told me about EEZOX and i have used it ever since.

I have only been using it a few months now. After all the info I read about it I decided to give it a try and so far so good. Good product.

i bought a hogue handall jr today and tore it when I tried to put it on. Man those things are tight, I wished I'd used a little heat now but I didn't want any moisture under it. I didn't think about a hair dryer until it was too late.

Sorry my post is a little late in the game, but better late than never right?

When installing the handall grips on any pistol, it helps to rub down the inside of them with whatever oil you prefer. I use CLP. They go on much easier that way and also adds some protection against rust. You'd think that by doing that, the oil would make the handall grip wrap constantly "slide around" on the gun, but it doesn't. The oil either dissipates a little, or works it's way into whatever grooves and nooks are available, leaving the handall tight and secure after a little handling of the gun. Give it a try.

BTW I live in New England very close to the ocean. Rust and corrosion are easily avoided if you learn the right tricks and stay vigilant about it.
