Got the new Russian red Zee grips!

Post by seaplane »

I requested Zee to make me a set of Russian red grips for my p-64. Just put them on the other day and they fit perfect. I lightly deburred a couple of spots to make them a little smoother on the hand. They feel great now.

Zee does do nice work! I have both the regular stock grips like yours in the Russian Red and the right hand thumb rest. I enjoy both styles. Sgt P.

Gee... and I thought he only made a set for me... of course mine were made about 2 years ago...but the quality of work looks to be the same!

Great minds think alike! I had a feeling you were a guy with outstanding taste!

Cool! I see you also used a washer under the screw. I think that makes for a stronger mount. I asked Zee if he could maybe put a star in the handle, and he said I wasn't the first person to ask that of him! He said he couldn't do it right now. I'm really liking the red color. I need a good pocket holster. I've been waiting on a Micha's for a few months, But I beleive he has had some familly crisis and has been sidelined on the order. I may try something else untill he gets back up to speed. The Michas holsters are very comfortable and well worth waiting for. I can always use a spare though. Thanks for the comments guys!

Robert Micha has a website and makes a nice pocket holster at a reasonable price. I have had one for a J-Frame for 5 years and it just gets better and better. He uses a tacky cloth outer layer that holds it in your pocket when you draw the pistol. He also gives you the option of a rounded or squared bottom, so if you wear jeans alot, the round bottom fits the rounded pockets a little better. Most dress pants will have a squared or flat bottom in the pockets,So the squared holster will work best with those type of pants. His holsters are well made and hold up great to hot weather and sweat. I'd post a link , But I'm not sure if that would be allowable on the forum. You can search him out though.

Why not? That's what this forum is all about, sharing info, pictures, links, etc. Share away. It won't cost you a thing ;)!

tooldawg99,

I got mine from Zee nearly 3 years ago, he does make excellent grips for the P-64, he also use to make em for the CZ52.
