ammo for the p-64?

Post by jebib3 »

I just saw a youtube video on thr p-64 that said that the standard round for the pistol as designed was just a 71 grain bullet. That is signficantly less that the more standard 95. It also would explain a lot about the recoil most experience with the pistol. my question is are there alternative, and generally available loads that are more in line as the pistol was designed? BTW: I'm just repeating generally what was stated and take no credit for the observations.

I think most 71 grain bullets are .32's.

The P-64 manual on this website states that the bullet projectile size is 71 grs., but I believe that to be in error. I agree with kurremkarm that 71 grs. is a standard bullet size for 32 acp and not 9x18. :)

71 grains may be a mistake but bullets are commonly weighed in grams in Europe. If it were 7.1 grams, that would equate to 109 grains...within the realm of possibility.
