Shot my P-64's

Post by tokarev22 »

Well about 70 rounds out of my pistols.
I shot my 1975 gun first and fed it fmj and HP silver bear ammo with no jams. I have four mags for the two pistols.
The tighter 1968 gun jammed on the second mag of fmj's
I think it was an ammo problem.
The silver bear ammo is nasty dirty stuff and I noticed one round was dimpled good in the crimper sizer die from the factory.
You could see on one side it was streaked heavy from the loading process where it was formed.
Yes these little guns have some bounce but its nothing crazy.
I have shot +P 9MM and its nothing like that. From some of the talk I expected the pistols to jump around like a 12 gauge shotgun blast haha
Im keeping the factory springs everything works fine and both guns shoot hollow points with no issues.
Im not impressed with the black filthy residue of the silver bear ammo.
I think for plinking its okay. I dont plan on shooting these pistols a lot maybe 50 or 100 rounds now and then and CCW use.
