Same here. When I bought my P-64 it had a lighter hammer spring. It was not reliable when shooting double action and would fail to fire occasionally. I put a factory spring back in it and it has never failed again.

I kept the original springs in my P-64 and have been very pleased with both the double action and single action trigger pull. Only thing I've replaced was a trigger return spring that broke first time I fired the pistol.

All of mine have been stock as well except for the grips [Zee & Dennis]. A couple of them the DA was a tad heavy, but after 500 rds the DA lightened up, I prefer the P-64 with a heavier DA, with 6+1 and safety off it acts as a safety for me.

As a new p 64 shooter the first thing I jumped on were the springs. After a shooting session monday I changed them back to stock. Too many missfires with the light hammer spring.

From a new owner and new member, after shooting this little beauty I will leave everything stock. I feel the Polish designers knew what they were doing. Just my humble opinion. Allentown Ernie.

I have kept mine stock and am very pleased with the way it handles. As has been said, I like the DA to be stiff as I carry with the saftey off.

I kept mine as it is. I found the DA on mine was a lot like my M9. :)

Want to get new grips from Marschal (got to convince the wife to let me). I love carrying this little kick@zz number in my pocket. ;D
