This is the latest from J&G.I got it about 3 days ago. This is the second P-64.After a close inspection with the grips off at my local gun shop(Mountainstate Machine & Gun) Ed,ex Marine gunsmith with 30 some odd years of expereince says"I cant beleive there selling these for 159"."Hey Ed how much action has this one seen"?"Not much"."I could tell that myself. On the ride home I was thinken of my next move.Do I shot it first or clean it.My normal practice is to give a gun a good goen over before I shot but I have been known to shoot right out the box.Being a military surplus I should clean it.Well it was pretty clean. Some light oil under the grips no cosmo build up anywhere, looked good over all.Everything functions, nice and smoth,I was thinken then something clicked, lets do this.As soon as I got home upstairs to get some ammo.I have 400 rounds 100 of it Wolf.At the time I bought the Wolf it was the only thing around.I know this stuff is questionable but I bit the bullet.Grabbed 2 boxes of Wolf and out the door.I live on 75 acres so I can shoot anytime I want. Its nice living in the country.First mag I machineguned. No problem, lets try that again.Nice, whole mag in less than a second.Ok lets slow down abit. After about 70 rounds. I was satisfied.I love these guns.So,70 rounds right out the box no problems.Everything worked fine.Saftey tight and smoth.Overall lookes new.Well I think its time to order another one.

The finish on your slide is much better than on the '71 I just got from Centerfire. Nice gun. Great pics.

I think overall its very nice.I checked the triger pull. Its 22.5 on DA and 4.5 on SA.This one is in alot better shape than my first one.It was probly about 85% where I would put this one at least 95%.Although I did find my first one about a year and a half ago at my local pawn shop. The guy working there called it a polish makarov. When I first saw it I thought it was a Walther PPK.I dont remember how much they wanted for it but I traded a Kal-Tec P-11 for it.There is no comparison. At the time I got the P-11 they were going for around $230.I had traded for it so it was basicaly free. The trigger reset on the P-11 was so long you could sit down and have a cup of coffee,so I had to get rid of it.Ive shot alot of handhuns over the years and the P-64 has become one of my favorite guns and I plan on buying more.

Is the slide really black or is it purple like mine but shows black in the pictures?

I just got mine from J&G last week. It looks to be very similar in condition to mine also. Probably the most ineresting thing is that mine is also a 1971, and my serial is about 40 away from yours. BTW, I found this site while looking for info on the P-64. Lots of great info here!
