SMC-918 Value?

Post by weetabix »

I have an SMC-918 that I bought a while back as a collector piece, but I find I enjoy shooting more than collecting. I have wide hands, and the SMC-918 is just a bit smaller than I like shooting. The P-64 is great, but it just fits my hand. The SMC is just a bit shorter in the grip.

So, I'd thought of selling or trading it, but I don't know what it's worth.

Do you think I could get a military Mak (EG, Bulgarian, Russian) for it? How about two P-64's?

Any thoughts?

the SMC-918 is probably worth 250 ,Dennis makes nice grips for it http://www.marschalgrips.com/?content=FEG-models, the same size as the BR-61 makes it a lot shoot ably

It's worth about 25.00, now would you like it in cash or check...

Just kidding, you should be able to find someone to trade a military mak for it without a problem.

Gun prices are hard to predict, especially in this market. Two examples:

The page below is the actual record of an auction I won almost a year ago. http://www.cowanauctions.com/upcoming_d ... emid=59124
$172.50 for a R61 with two mags.

Bud's Gun Shop wants $475 for a Ruger LCP. They recently auctioned one off for $501.

weetabix,
A very nice Feg SMC just sold at Auction Arms for $208.00, pistol was in beautiful condition. A P-64 just sold at the same site for $198.00. The only Feg that I saw at the gun broker site at that price was a highly modified item that had custom sites installed, a melt and trigger job, then finished in brushed steel or chrome.
It was an eye catcher alright, but a bit pricey for my budget

mpi, a P-64 or Feg SMC?
For either model it is a pretty good price, congratulations on your purchase which ever it was. :)
