In a week I am going to start training for a 5K run and was wondering if any of you guys knew a good way to carry your P64 while jogging without it being too much of a burden but easy to get to if need be.

HP,

Just curious if you ever decided how to carry on your run? How do you plan to conceal with just little running shorts and a tanktop? Just kidding (kind of).
The constant bounce of the P64 along those three miles would, at best, be very annoying.

im not too sure if i am going to carry it while running. I haven't lately and i don't think there is a practical way to carry unless I was just holding it in my hand, which would be a bad thing to do.

LOL. Yeah, they'd either run really fast in front of you or they'd get out of your way! I've never been much of a runner but I do enjoy bicycling and have been toying with a way to mount a holster to my bicycle tubes. Quite a few more options there than on a runners body. Maybe this year I'll get it down.

I'm not trying to steer you away from the beautiful gun bearer idea but I would pick up a keltec 32 or a p3at with a good pocket holster.

Back to my bicycle holster thing, I was thinking that a padded holster, sort of like the Crossman one my daughter got me, would work really well as long as it could be secured very firmly to the head tube of the bicycle. It would be within easy reach (upon stopping the bike, of course) yet still out of the way of operation of the bike. I'll have to see if I can figure out a way to secure it adequately so that it won't work loose while riding. I'm sure that once I start experimenting with it the options will abound.

Get one of the inexpensive fabric holsters and sew strips to it with snaps or velcro on the other end to wrap around your bike frame at the top, bottom and center posts.

I'm still searching for a way to carry while running.

What kind of a dangerous location does the OP live that he needs to carry a gun while training for a 5K run?
