Thank you, Fritzhund.

And thanks to all the rest of the members here. You have a superb forum! Tons of information, people willing to share and help out. Your collective attitude is excellent! I don't know how you did it, but I'm sure glad you did!

Oh yes, and what an excellent pistol!

Not the newest member, thought I would say how much I have enjoyed the forum. I read every post befire buying a p64 and am very pleased with it. Mine had a few minor problems but easily fixed.

Not sure how I will fit in with experts and intelligent conversation but I'll try.

Just got my P-64 from JG Sales last Thursday. Nice little pistol. Mine s a 1976 model and it looks brand new.

Got the CZ-82 also from JG's. Sand blasted it then Duracoated it in flat black. I bought Tritium night sites from CZUSA and installed them before I Duracoated the pistol. That's not my gun safe. I use it as a powder magazine.

hey I'm new too and I want to say nice forum you guys have. I just ordered me a p64 from J&G. They said they have about 300 left, so who knows how long that'll last. Great resource!

Hey I'm a newbie here. I've been a member for about a week and just picked up my P64 yesterday. I gave $220 for the P64 a 2nd clip and a 50rnd box of ammo. They gave me a box of Fiocchi 9x18 police Ultra. Don't think those are right? Haven't made it to the range but did pick up some ammo and a case for it. I bought 9x18 that say Makarov on the package. I did tear it down and clean it up it felt kinda gritty so I just had to make it better.
Here are some pics
Image Had him in pieces almost wanted to cry
Image More tear down makes for a nicer operating pistol right
Image You should be able to see the wear marks and the funny coloring on this side
Image Then this is the pretty side.

Yes the DA trigger pull is HEAVY but I can muster though it for now. A spring change might just be in order. All in all I love it. Need to get to the range so I can blast some rounds through Zak. That way I'll be ready if Zak ever needs to attack! LOL

ipsd--Welcome! You will like it here. You are right. The 9x18 Police Ultra is a different round and not interchangeable with the Makarov round. Don't use it. I just checked CARTRIDGES OF THE WORLD to be sure about this info.

Yeah you don't want to be shooting the Police Ultra. No good. See if maybe you can swap it for a box of the right caliber somewhere.
