Hi guys--technical question.
I am a reloader and am very pleased with the results I get loading for the p-64 and Makarov, respectively.
The problem is brass, or rather the lack of it. I am planning to trim down a whole bunch of 9x19 brass, but I would like to have a good way to mark it, since it will not be headstamped accurately. I don't want to pick up untrimmed range brass, or have some of mind find its way into another reloader's bin.
I did try marking the base with permanent marker, which works ok, but it comes off in the case tumbler. I was wondering if there was anything I could use to dye the brass without affecting it for loading.
Any suggestions?
How can I mark my brass?

kempin,
You can use ammonia vapors to blacken the brass and this may be a way to mark them. Another way would be to take an electro pencil and "deface" the original markings. Just a quick thought.
