Re: P-64 First time out
Good idea! On the pic you posted comparing the round hammer & the triangular hammer (the one with the red & blue lines) I think that if I convert my triangular hammer to the round style that will solve the hammer bite problem. When my springs get here, I will have to take it apart to install...

P-64 First time out
This gun is evil! I got the "worn" one from AIM, last week, cleaned, lubed, and ordered ammo from Classic Arms & springs from Wolff. I took it to the range today, and discovered why it needs new springs, the double action first shot is a good 3 inches away from the rest of the group, b...

Re: Wolff Springs Shipping
I have a shipment coming as well, and when I placed the order, the web site did say it would take longer than normal. Business must be good! Wolff Springs is a good company, I have been a customer for years, and always been satisfied with what I got. As a heads up, if you have a C&R FFL they do ...

Congragulations on your new pistol. Shoot it a lot, become familiar with it, and enjoy one of the best bangs for the buck in the gun world!

Re: What were they thinking?
That is an astute observation! I have a friend who is a police officer & the weapons he is armed with would repel a small army.

I would be UPSET if I lost my Kimber...it is my "watch this" pistol! At least the druggie didn't tear up your pistol!
So what were the Poles thinking whrn they designed the P-64? To design a well made reliable, concealabe weapon to arm Americans with!

Re: What were they thinking?
Actually my line of thinking is that for the money the p-64 is an excellent weapon. It is very well made, but with a for sure European influence. If it were to be produced today by one of the big manufacturers think what the price would be! You are correct, the Kahr is a better weapon, designed for ...

Re: What were they thinking?
I would tend to agree. I think that Europeans think differently than Westerners. These were probably issued to officers, not necessarily as a "combat" weapon but as a means to be armed, even if not needed. Americans have always preferred larger calibers, Europeans smaller calibers. I just ...

Re: Mystery 'chamber wear'
I just got one from Aim today, their "worn" one for $149 & when I took it apart it had the same wear. From the position on the bbl. it looks to me like it has been peened from the extractor hitting it. On mine, there is no damage to the extractor (which I assume is harder than the barr...

Re: AIM Surplus hand pick arrived today
Looks pretty good! Mine comes in tomorrow from Aim. Bad thing is, they try to deliver in the morning when I'm at work, so I have to go pick it up the NEXT day. It's a bummer to have to wait all night!

Classic Arms is a class act. I have ordered quite a few weapons from them and have always been impressed with the quality of their merchandise as well as their service. Congrats on your new toy.

Re: First P-64 Coming
Been reading the forum a bit since I put in my order, and I am kind of stoked about it, it should be a good CCW carry weapon. I will have to run it through it's paces first though!

Re: Any Mosin Nagant fans?
Here is a pic of my M44. The toe was missing when I traded for it, so I attached a new one & refinished the stock.
