Thanks Weasel for the info.
I guess like many people, I should have read about the new springs before I opted for an upgrade.

Re: Is concealed carry safe with one in chamber and safety on shoot?
Nice going Curly. Now you have convinced me to carry a knife also.
But now the BIG question is , " OPEN or CLOSED " ?
Hey Curly, where you located in Upstate NY I live in Queensbury.

Re: The GOOD and the GREAT !
The review that I gave Classic was not a " BAD " one
I gave Classic a " MIDDLE OF THE ROAD / FAIR " review.
If they cannot even accept a FAIR review, then they must have some serious issues.

Re: Recoil pain. Am I holding it wrong?
I would rather have the pain in my hand from a firearm discharging. Than the pain caused by what is coming out of the other end of the firearm .

Re: Is concealed carry safe with one in chamber and safety on shoot?
Their could be a 1,000 different situations. Who is to really know which or what will be the correct response at the time of the incident ? Only way one would know for sure, is after it happens. And that could be the sad part or perhaps even the good part. I do think for my situation, carrying witho...

Re: Is concealed carry safe with one in chamber and safety on shoot?
KETCHMAN .......... read my posting again and the following is what I stated :!: As I stated, this is my personal thought on the subject of carrying with one round chambered. I will seek cover first before I engage in a shooting. But then again, one can not be prepared for all scenarios . Fi...

Re: Is concealed carry safe with one in chamber and safety on shoot?
It may be just my way of thinking, but I only carry for personal protection and I do not carry with a round chambered. My thinking is that, hopefully I will not need to rapidly pull my firearm to confront a threat. Thinking that if I am in an area where a shooting is taking place, I would have time ...

Re: Help... My Slide Won't Come Off!
I just installed Wolff recoil springs in two newly purchased P64's. :D Its easier getting a divorce than putting the darn slide back on. After numerous attempts with both firearms, I finally did get the slide back on. Was thinking what the hell is this Pollack doing wrong :?: Was also thinki...

Re: The GOOD and the GREAT !
Another part of the story happened last evening. I received an email from Classic Firearms requesting a review of my P64, that I purchased from them. I am not the type of person that likes to bad mouth anybody or anything. If I made a purchase from Classic and it did not meet my standards, t...

Re: The GOOD and the GREAT !
From what I can assume and from my experience, I would say that you are correct GuitarmanNick. I really feel the key to purchasing a real nice surplus P64, or for that matter any surplus firearm is to be able to find the online dealer just when they have received a new shipment of arms. I did find a...

The GOOD and the GREAT !
Being Polish, I knew that I had to have a P64. Thus, I did a lot of research and decided to purchase from Classic Firearms as they were advertising " Very good to Excellent " condition P64's. And other folks were pleased with their purchase from Classic. Well my purchased P64 was ra...
