I just love that feeling of compression when you shoot off a full power 7.62x35. It used to actually part my hair--when I had more hair to part!
I'm surprised that the 9mm ever displaced the 7.62x25.

How's P64 and PowR'ball?
I have found pow-r-ball to be the most destructive 9mm I've every tried and would like to run some in my P-64 in 9mm Mak. Where can you order 9mm Mak pow-r-ball?
Thanks,
Thanks,

2dogs, I have heard that they work well, and you can use the existing CZ-52 mags, but I have heard about occasional jamming with the 9mm, so I wouldn't rely on that for self-defense. On the other hand, the 7.62x25 is more powerful, so if you wanted to carry the CZ-52, you could load it with 7.62 amm...

Carguy, as a dyed-in-the-wool CZ-52 lover, I would point out that you can easily convert the CZ-52 to 9mm. Sportsman's Guide sells the barrel and that's all you need. I personally haven't done it myself, but I've heard of those who have and the pistol remains accurate, and misfires are occasional. T...

RLJ,
Can you direct me to where I could look into getting a muzzle break for the M-44?
Thanks.

Papabear, I'm always impressed by those wood grips for your CZ-52. Those are the best I've ever seen for the CZ-52. I like the Zee grips, as well. I wish he was still in business. I can kick myself for not getting some of those for the CZ-52 and the P-64, when he was churning them out.!

Actually, with the fiberglas stock or whatever it is made of, my M-44 is not that bad for recoil. I will admit to having a little blue on my left shoulder (I'm left handed) after a day's work, but it's not that bad. And after all, if you're going to shoot milsurp, you gotta have some scars to prove ...

At least your kids are interested. I can't get mine to even go near a firearm--not with threats, bribes or even pleading! You got the P-64 and an M-44? You are indeed a person after my own heart. I love that M-44. It's sportarized, with the bayonet filed off, and a the turned down bolt and scoped. I...

I have CZ-52's and P-64's, and enjoy them both. Although both were official sidearms of neighboring East Europe counties, they are very different in concept. Really, you might even consider going one of each. Buying a P-64 and a CZ-52 will likely cost you much less than a Glock Beretta 92fs, Springf...

Brown Bear?
I've used some of the brown bear stuff, also in .380, with no problems. It seems to be pretty powerful, but I've never seen the chrono ratings on it. Like papabear, I would prefer using other ammo for more 'serious' applications, but not bad for plinking, at least by my experience.

nbebder,
Well, the 9mm pow r ball sure did a number on the milk jugs we had. After I get some 9mm mak pow r ball (assuming I can find some) I'll let you know how it compares to the 9mm pow r ball, in terms of the 'busted jug shoot-out."

Thanks Mr. Norm. That was a very interesting and informative article. In fact, that's just what was happening to my P-64---always the last shot! Just like that article said.
I knew if the question could be answered, I'd find out about it through this message board!
Again, many thanks!
