I carry one in the chamber with the safety off and the hammer down. This works for me because I switch between three guns. P-64, Makarov and CZ-82. All 9x18 and all have heavy DA actions.

Caution: do not over tighten grip screw!
I had a tight magazine yesterday, turned out that I had over tightened the grip screw and the mag was rubbing against the inside of the left grip.

I failed to tell you guys about this when I was in the bidding! But now I expect to see you guys snap up the last six.

The Fobus might be a problem, they ard a hard material and won't conform like leather.

Were you holding it with your finger around the front of the trigger guard?

As big as my hands are, I probably was. I also am really glad to hear that it happened to someone else! Since then I have added a slip on Pachmayr grip.

It is my guess that the trigger guard release became disengaged while firing. With my paying more attention to how I hold this little beast it has not happened again. Since I got hooked on Makarovs I have decided that anything I can shoot 9x18 ammo in can't be all bad and is worth my interest. I now have the p-64 and a CZ82.
