Now comes the questions: 1. The barrel has shallow rifling (compared to newer/ modern sigma 9mm). Is that normal for 9mm mak barrels? It's still shiny though. 2. Is the barrel replacable? How many rds is the barrel supposed to go through before it loses accuracy? I compared the rifling in the P-64 ...

issues during first visit to range
I have never had a FTF with my P-64s. The one that I have fired the most had it slide get stuck all the way back 2 or 3 times, but that problem has disappeared. From reading about FTFs in 1911s, the magazine is usually the culprit.

The Buy Sell Trade board
Dick, I think the buy/sell/trade board should simply have an expiration date.. A agree. It would be great if the item would just disappear after some reasonable number of days. Requiring 10 posts is reasonable. However, as someone who has started and run mail lists for years, I know there are many ...

Yes, it is stiff, but since I never shoot DA, it's okay with me the way it is.danimal wrote: That initial DA trigger pull is stttiiiiiiifffff.
Nice looking P-64. It's good to see another satisfied owner.

They may be nice folks, but calling the P-64 a "Polish Makarov" is plainly deceptive. Would they call a Glock 19 an "Austrian Luger?"desertdave wrote:They are NICE FOLKS!!

Yeah, the Wolf Military Classic I normally shoot has red "paint" around the primer. So does my Silver Bear HP.anjdrifter wrote: I have seen factory stuff with red paint(?) or something on em thought it was a sealer.

New Shipment!
Now that he has re-designed them to be 2-piece with the dowel to hold the back together, I wrote him March 26th, asking for details and pictures - no reply yet. I think his P-64 grips have always been 2-piece. He has added a "dowel" or two to connect the halves, but that's all. His new, s...

Marschal Grip Question
Any consensus on which wood is best for the P64? Has the cracking issue been fully resolved? I know he does good work, I have his grips on my CZ82. I'd say the wood is a matter of personal taste. I think he has modified his p-64 grips so that they are much less likely to crack. The recoil of the P-...

With the currencies of eastern Europe on steep decline compared to the dollar and with the fall in costs of metals, it is reasonable to expect that newly imported ammo will be a lot cheaper.frankmako wrote:wish i could get it at $10.00 a box now.

I put a 22# recoil spring in mine and still get a bloody trigger finger. If I grip it extra hard, maybe there's less of a problem. 50 rnds is about my limit, but the P-64 is still one of my favorites because of its size and cartridge.donw wrote:I had a bloody trigger finger after 40 rds.

His grips are popular with P-64 owners. My P-64s wear them and so do some of my other pistols.lagavulin62 wrote: does anyone know for sure and has anyone ordered grips from them?

Ammo Question
Now my CZ-82 and Makarov, I don't feel bad about feeding them Wolf 'til the cows come home (no more Barnaul for me, my roomates have dubbed it 'stank ammo'. I've fired a fair amount of Wolf in my Maks and P-64s without problems. I have also fired 9x19 and .45ACP Wolf. I can really tell the differen...

P64 nice gun
After reading several posts was worried about the little gun having bad recoil. I really like my P-64s, but they're relatively light weight and their small size means there's less of them to grip. That means the part of your hand in contact with the pistol absorbs more of a jolt. If the grips were ...
