Reason for CCW

"Dude, what are you doing on a handgun forum?!"

Dude, get a grip! I'm on the p-64 forum because I own one. I'm not what you would call liberal or conservative, I don't even play that game. I hope the visitors here aren't required to pledge allegiance to the NRA before they can post.

Muzzle Flash

LOL. I'm definitely a day sleeper (yawn) it's just that here in the Big Easy you can only shoot at night if there's crackhead to stop the bullet.

I'd love to see it, tho. A side view will do, as compared to head on.

Muzzle Flash

I just realized I've never seen this baby's muzzle flash. Always fired in daylight or lit areas. I'd love to see a photo or movie of the P64 in her full glory. It should be something with the large load and short barrel. Anyone?

Reason for CCW

I just want it so that citizens can buy guns and criminals have to steal them. I know what you are saying about slippery slope, but that's a different problem that's not even related to gun control. I'm always thinking about these desperate, violent SOBs and I want to do things that they don't like....

Reason for CCW

I think the laws should be much, much stricter regarding the acquisition of handguns. While it's true the crooks can easily get their hands on guns now, that fact is a result of the lax gun laws in this country throughout its history. I think gun owners should be licensed, there should be no private...

The Religion of Handguns

What about volume divided by the effectiveness formula posted above? Anyone here good enough with math to do the numbers on the P-64 and say Bulgarian Mak and a 45 1911 to see how the numbers would shake out? That formula works for me, but where do we get the data? I don't feel like dunking my 64 i...

Diameter would work work fine but the gun weight doesn't say anything about the size of the weapon. Maybe diameter/volume would be a better gauge, then multiply the whole thing by velocity and bullet weight to gauge its stopping power. (mm/cc) * v * g ?

Power to size ratio: That's a very good description. I wonder if there is a formula we could apply..... Yep, that's a good question. I would think that simply dividing the size of the bullet by the size of the gun would get you most of the way there, and you could multiply the figure by the speed o...

I went to the range with my P64

If you get a glove there's zero bite at the range. Regarding the DA pull: The weapon is meant to be loaded with the safety disengaged, which makes it a SA weapon at the range. And I don't know if this gun was designed to handle HPs. Did they even have them in the sixties? I had problems loading the ...

How do you conceal your P-64?

Just fooling around with the poll feature, but I am curious. I carry with one chambered, safety on, in my rear pocket. Conceals perfectly with the barrel at the bottom and the grip upright along the asscrack, for lack of a better word. I snatch it out with my thumb and two fingers on either side of ...

Woud you like this here?

I'd like to see it remain exclusively a p64 board. It's the only one of its kind, right? If you start adding sections for every other type of weapon it morphs into every other gun board. Just my two cents.

What Made You Buy?

I'm in my mid-40's and never had use for a gun, didn't particularly like them and didn't like the whole "from my cold, dead hand" attitude. About four months ago I started taking shifts at a club for a friend of mine. I saw some desperate MF's hanging around outside the place, probably add...

P-64 Grips

I've got the thumbrest grip (mfg'd 1973) and I'm left handed so I'd be interested in flats, too.

Welcome!

Great site. So hard to get info on this weapon. I just bought mine in October and it's my first gun, and I suspect it'll be my last since I just got it for protection. I'll never be a gun collector or an expert but I like to know a lot about things I own. I guess I'm a bit of a sucker because I call...
