Re: Dry fire P64

I agree. Do not recommend any dry fire of P64. DRY FIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK. The safety is small and possibly more of a concern than the firing pin. Removing the pin does nothing to protect the safety and MAY make dry firing harder on the poor little safety barrel. An above member mentioned an inertia ...

Re: Dry fire P64

I did not put the firing pin and spring back in during reassembly.

Re: TRIGGER QUESTION

Thanks for that reply. I'm trying to get my trigger on my spur hammer to not kick back so much. I can shoot with a hold down but you can feel it wanting to go forward. if you try to shoot and let off, watch out!!! This got a LOT better with 22lb recoil and some trigger bar work. Let me end by saying...

Re: FEG SMC 918 Parts

Hey, try buymilsurp.com They made a lot of these pistols with the same basic layout, but not all parts interchange. It seems that caliber seperates a lot of these parts. I just picked up a new(fired 2 or 3 times?) PA-63 for $ 132.50 OTD and am loving it!!! I had to go back and get it because I could...

Re: TRIGGER QUESTION

Both the 71 round and 76 triangle have A's and a C within a diamond. The round hammer A is halfway rubbed where the slide cut out is, on top of the C. The 76 has the C on top.

Re: TRIGGER QUESTION

Hey thanks. Maybe all the spur hammers do this. My round hammer is easier on my trigger finger. It's stock and my spur hammer has 22 lb recoil spring smoothed out grips and some triggerbar work. It did get a LOT better, especial with a light, low hold. I think I just like the earlier ones better. I ...

TRIGGER QUESTION

I have a round hammer 71 and a spur hammer 76. The round hammer's trigger stops (makes contact) at the frame/trigger guard right at the trigger guard pin upon pull through. The spur hammer's trigger stops just short of everything. I was wondering what is stoping the 76's trigger and should it not to...

Re: Trigger bar crack

That looks interesting and somewhat familiar. My P64 started to develop a horrible trigger slap. My other P64 has it bad enough, but not like this. I really never knew how bad this could be until this pistol. The forward end of my trigger bar was catching on the slide. This caused the trigger to be ...

trigger slap, recoil, or thats just the way it is?

Can anyone out there shoot their p64 and hold the trigger all the way back, having your finger still holding the trigger all the way back after the pistol has fired? I have two of these pistols, a round hammer and a triangle hammer. Both require much effort to do this. The trigger just seems hard to...

Re: Dry fire P64

I removed the firing pin and spring and reassembled with the complete safety assembly. Doubled actioned about twenty times with each hand, rest and then do again. About 100 or so double action dry fires. This made my safety loosen up and helped the double action feel after a clean and lube.
