I have a spare hammer, I think I am going to give this a try. It really looks great and it works! Great pics BTW.

Re: My first p64
Carry it however you wish, it is a great little pistole to have and to hold. But you will find out that one is not enough. Ask anyone, they will tell you. Oh! Welcome to the Forum.

Re: Derringer trigger pull
I took some advice and polished the trigger group and it helped some, it was still a bear to pull but it was smooth. Really they are a fun little gun.

You have a valid point. I pulled my pistole one time. Thank goodness the guy saw it and turned around and got in his truck and left. I was shaking even after the guy vacated the area.

Re: Wil you still carry Safty off with one in the chamber?
From what I heard on the TV the guy couldn't get his safety off. But, any guy who carries a gun with pink grips??? And yes, that guy tried to shoot him in the head but was out of ammo. Ya' can't be too careful.

Re: Wil you still carry Safty off with one in the chamber?
I saw that vid. Man, the guy was lucky to get away with his life !He was shot 5 or 6 times in the stomach. That is one main reason why I carry with safety off, I don't want to make the same mistake that the jewler made.

Re: Chambering a round
I always use the safety/decocker when chambering the first round. I have complete confidence in the safety feature this little gun has. I also carry with safety off, which alot of people may not agree with.

Re: Derringer trigger pull
Thanks for all the input. I think I will follow Ramiriz60s advice and polish the parts, kind of makes sense to do that. I like the little gun for shooting old targets and see if I can hit one.

Derringer trigger pull
I have a Davis Industries 38 cal. derringer and the trigger pull is past brutal. It makes a P-64 pull like a fine tuned Smith. If anyone has had any dealings with one of the little derringers please let me know.

Re: Bought a P64 from Cabela's today! springs?
I have a couple of P-64's and both of them are stock. I have found no reason to change anything on these fine weapons because in my mind they function just like a foreign military pistol should function. I agree with tooldawg If I have to use my Pistole I don't want to have anything to go against me...
