OT: I am needing input on a new gun.

I think the Stoeger Cougar is the hot one out there now that is reasonable. I don't have one, but came close to buying it. I got a Charles Daly ZDA instead of the Cougar, though both are sold by CDNN. CDNN has the Cougar for 299 with 2 mags last time I checked. The ZDA is 289, but only one mag. I ha...

CZ-82 Cleaning / Paintjob

I have used gunKleen and gunblaster both on my CZ82 for a couple of years with no degradation in the finish as far as I can see. I did get a bit on some CZ83 replacement grips and it ruined them fast. I don't dip my pistols but I do drench them, then clean them. I have had to paint my sights on a co...

Trolling for New Members.

I have always recommend this forum for folks who are having P64 problems. The expertise here is great and the previous posts that can be searched are very handy and useful.

I have seen a few guys I referred log on and check it out because they really needed the help.

My friend's Kel-Tec .380 vs. my Polish...

I like my 380 acp Mak. It is the only 380 acp I have to compare with a 9x18 Mak caliber like my P64. My P64 is all steel, exceptionally accurate at 15 yards ore even more. It has a good look to it. Its very, very reliable. Mak 9x18 rounds are generally more powerful than 380 acp rounds if you look a...

Wolf Military Classic

Thanks Garry. I knew the old Wolf was not too good. I decided to try the new Wolf Military Classic which has the soft clear coating vice the gray polymer coating when they mostly sold the 9x18 coneheads. I think the soft clear coating is the problem on mine. I suspect a black polymer coating with a ...

Wolf Military Classic

Has anyone tried out Wolf Military Classic in their P64? I tried it today and it had a FTF on the 2nd round. I had loaded my magazine with 6 rounds of Wolf Military classic. The first round chambered ok when I cocked the slide back and let go. The 2nd round in the magazine had a FTF on the way in th...

Aim 9x18Makarov Prvi Partizan

NB, You are very correct! Wolf Gold is not made in 9x18. I wouldn't be surprised if they start selling Prvi Partizan under their name at some point though. I was mostly just pointing out what great ammo PP makes. Sounds like guys here are talking about different calibers of ammo, so I threw in my $0...

Aim 9x18Makarov Prvi Partizan

I agree with the comments on Wolf with one exception, Wolf Gold. I would use Wolf Gold since it is Prvi Partizan ammo relabled by Wolf. Look at any online add for Wolf Gold, as on the ammunitionstore.com and it'll probably mention made in Serbia. There is only one Serbian ammo factory! Anyhow, Prvi ...

Cool website, almost entirely dedicated to P64 grips. They look great.

spring ID

The only way I can tell the difference in springs is that the radom factory recoil spring has flattened ends on the springs. The spring material on aftermarket Wolff springs, on the ends, is unfinished and the round wire extends to the end of the spring/wire tip. The hammer spring may be aftermarket...

White (Ivory) Grips

If you see ivory grips on the site, its because there was a guy making them in any color you wanted. However, he stopped due to something happening with customer(s) complaining or the like. Your best shot is to get wooden grips from DM (check the fixes section), buy some ivory grips from one of the ...

Heavy Recoil????

I think the recoil on this pistol is heavier than others due to the size. I think it does get painful to shoot this pistol if I go over 3 or 4 boxes of ammo. The grip is small, but I can hold the pistol tightly. I seem to keep my groups easily inside of 6" if not smaller at 15 yards. Shot to sh...

QUESTION FOR p-64 only

I usually load 5 or 6 at the range per mag. I never have a need to carry mine right now. I never have any jams since I repaired my safety. I use Mesko, silver bear HP, and silver bear FMJ.

flat grips

I think 2 guys are selling wooden grips here. One for sure, Dennis. Look in the mods, fixes and repairs section. I think his sell in the 30's which is a great deal for what he makes.

Zee stopped making plastic grips due to problems with buyers from what I heard.
