I did that to a magazine base plate for a Browning HP-9mm and mounted a mini-mag lite to it once. It worked great, till I sold the gun and the mag with it...............LOL. But it does work.

you can always use a weaver scope rail and epoxy it onto the dist cover. JB Weld or Accure Glass should be stong enough.

Well now this got heated fast! Personally I love my P-64, but I do agree with it needing some improvements!!! That beaver-tail is nice, a little long for what I was thinking but NICE!!!!!! I just might have to copy your idea!!!

How did you add the bever-tail??? looks great, I've been thinking about the same thing. Useing a 1911 beaver-tail and JB welding it to the frame.

I wanted a stonger recoil spring to help lessen the recoil and protect the frame some. It's a pritty common job on most other semi-pistols.

Does anyone know if a Watler recoil spring will work in the P-64??
