Re: New Find

Glad you liked the look of the 4S grips page, Reine is a treat to deal with and he does great work. If you look on his customers guns page you will see my Star PD as well as my RIA Officers 1911 both of which wear his grips now. Anyway, did I miss something PapaBear about the swinging link? How does...

Re: New Find

Thanks Curly. Mine came with 5 buffers and an extra barrel fitted with a comp. Haven't shot it with the comped barrel yet. It shoots just nice without it. Loooooove that gun. Now looking for a Star BM.

Re: New Find

Nice looking Kimber Papabear. You also own a Star PD? I picked one up a couple of months back and LOVE it. And I know a guy that does custom grips for the PD that are awesome and very very affordable. How long have you had yours and where do you get buffers? And I would recommend changing out the sw...

Re: Stovepiping -- could new hammer spring be to blame?

Garybok, The "nicks" on the cartridge rim are most likely from the magazine lips. I found all mine had corners so sharp they would occasionally cut my fingers as well as dig groves into the casing rims. I took as little emery cloth to the lips and took the sharpe edge of my mags and have h...

New site for P-64 grips

Hi all, been awhile since I have posted but I have been lurking in the shadows watching the rest of the posts. :hi: I have found this site that has recently begun making grips for the P-64 and they are quite reasonable in price. http://www.grips4u.net/ They are not as famcy as Mr. Marschal's but the...

Re: Police trade in P-220

I have never even heard of an "innacurate" P-220 in .45. Even the heavily used ones i have seen were as accurate is almost anything else new out of the box. I would not be surprised to find out that the recoil spring was badly worn out and that the pistol was the subject of excessive abuse...
