I'd think that comment would be considered tasteless even out there in fly-over country. JMHO, of course.

Re: Seeking sagely advice.
First, I'd order the heavier recoil spring. Many use the Wolff 22 lb, and it supposedly reduces felt recoil some. 2nd, I'd dismantle the pistol as much as possible and REALLY clean it w/solvents & then lubricate. Be sure to remove the grips 1st. 3rd, while it's apart, closely inspect all moving ...

Re: Buying Parts From Poland
Just a final note to wrap up this thread. I received my P64 springs from Mr. Laukert yesterday, about 4 weeks after (I think) he shipped them. And this was by priiority mail! So, good news is: you can get some P 64 parts from Poland(via Gunbroker). Bad news: Don't stand out by the mailbox waiting fo...

Custom Color Grips?
Hi folks. I thought that I'd once read, on this forum, of a person who was/is making & selling original-type P64 plastic grips in colors other than black, but my site-search was unsucessful. Anyone have info on this? I'd really like a caramel colored set, if available. TIA. Donzi

Re: Rust on my slide?
Juniustaylor- Yes, I can feel a slight warmth coming from the Goldenrod when I open up my gun safe. It's not exactly overwhelming, but then I don't think it needs to be overly hot, just enough to keep the inside dry, which it seems to do quite well. Donzi

Re: Rust on my slide?
Please, NEVER store a firearm in a holster, especially a leather holster or a rifle bag. I've seen pix of several older firearms, including a beautiful WWII bring-back German P38 and an unfired 1920's M1903 Springfield rifle, that were basically ruined from rust due to long-term storage in holsters/...

Many thanks to all who replied. Guess I'll just wait f/the springs. Even if they don't make it (altho I believe they will, eventually), I'm only out $11 total.

When you say "It varies", what sort of timeframe are you thinking of? TIA.Edub wrote:It varies - especially during this time of year. Expect some delays because of the holiday mail rush.

Re: TRIGGER QUESTION
Now you've got me worrying. My 76 triangle-hammer P64 allows the trigger to move all the way back til the tip hits the guard. Anyone else's do this?
