What does your P-64 do?

Hey tunnelrat, I, too, had a hard time with the p-64 tearing me up. You said you wouldn't give it to your daughter, but would you believe that when my wife tried it, she found it very comfortable? She shot two full boxes of heavy loads without any comment. Must be something about the size of her han...

Revealing my ignorance . . .

Ok, I don't intend to try, and I'm sure there is a good reason why not, but I am curious to know:

If the Walther trigger spring for a 380 PPK is interchangeable in a p-64, why not the recoil spring? Is the diameter too small because of the 380 caliber barrel?

Just curious.

Any Handloaders?

Valkyrie,
Thanks for the load data. I started working up my target loads with Win 231 (3 grains under a 95 gr. lrn) and was pleased with the feel, though I haven't had a chance to test for accuracy yet. I have not yet used Red Dot. Think it's worth picking some up?

Any Handloaders?

Interesting anecdote about the dog. As I said, the XTP is designed for maximum, extreme expansion. From the evidence I have been able to gather, (which is not extensive,) the xtp bullet expands to the size of a quarter at almost any speed. I am not surprised that there was no exit wound--that is wha...

Who carries to Church

By the way, abwehr, it was Peter who cut off the ear, not Paul; but your point is well taken. And I do agree with all the people who said that you should pay attention to the Word while you are in church. (I am a preacher, after all.) You might want to be aware, though, that in an official directive...

Any Handloaders?

Hey guys, I've enjoyed reading what you all have to say about the p-64, and I can' think of a better crowd to ask . . . I am somewhat new to handloading, and I would like to develop some loads for the p-64 in particular. (All data in manuals I have seen is for the heavier Makarov.) Specifically, I w...

New Guy

Hey Guys, FINALLY, a board where people know wha the heck a p-64 is! (And don't have to add 15 posts just to remind everyone that it is not, technically, a Makarov.) I have found the p-64 to be a great little pistol so far. The biggest drawback is that the bite can make it unpleasant to shoot after ...
