Re: Most Accurate Pistol I have ever owned!
I have a couple or three that are equal provided I do my part correctly. The first is a S&W Model 52 in 0.38 Special using mid-range wad cutters. This is the S&W center fire Target pistol. The second is a S&W Model 14 6" barrel using 0.38 special wad cutters, the third being a S&...

Re: post some your pet 9 X 18 loads
I simply purchased a 1000 cases from Starline in 9 x 18 a few years ago. Saves an awful lot of trouble in cutting down cases and by now I have amortized my purchases to almost zero. Never had a problem with Starline and I load just about every handgun calibre from 0.25ACP to 0.455 Webley, including ...

Re: Help me decide!
A wise move. If you want a Mak then look for either one of the Russian Army ones (sometimes come up on sale on Empire Arms) or if you can find one, the East German Mak made by Suhl. I picked one up as a C&R around 10 years or so ago for what would now be considered a steal, even allowing for inf...

Re: Dilemma for 2010
Know the feeling! Have just picked up an hexagon-MN for a very reasonable price plus one of the last Mauser-made HSc's in 0.380. Must go back and look at those mil-surps again, advantage of a C&R licence. Daven

Re: Too good not to share!
I have even more fun as I take a CZ82, an EG Mak and a 1916 S&W Mk II still in 0.455 with me and then watch people get more an more upset as they put their loads into the bull. People will not believe that a revolver that is almost 100 years old is accurate, and the EG Mak just swallows any 9 x ...

Does anyone have one of these? Russian 1893 Nagant
There is a very good forum on the Nagant on gunboards with all of the info that you will ever need, including step by step instructions with photos of how to detail strip. I have the regular double-single (makes even the P64 pull seem reasonable!!!). I also have the target model which required the i...

9mm barrel for CZ52
Just like Gunneyrabbit, my CZ 9 mm works nicely, particularly with a new recoil spring. Dave_n

Are Beretta 92 mags interchangeable with Taurus
Rick: I would second, if not "third" the CZ suggestion. I have a CZ75 Compact, CZ75B and the CZ85. Built like tanks, point where you point!, and swallow anything. On the other hand, I will back my S&W Model 39-2 against any of the three for sheer pointability. Must disagree with tman a...

Are Beretta 92 mags interchangeable with Taurus

P64's at the Rose City Gun Show
Like Gunneyrabbit, I also thought about reloading 0.32 and 0.25. I bit the bullet a fair while ago on the 0.32 (and now have around a 1000 rounds tucked away). The 0.25 took a little longer but that too turned out to be easy, but only a couple of 100 loaded. Best price I have found for bullets is th...

Which 9X18 ammo??
I have been reloading 9 x 18 Mak for years now. Cases from Starline, dies from Lee (use Midway Arms) and 90 grain lead bullets from a local caster. No problems in Makarovs, P82s or P64s. Much cheaper and easier. I can also use copper coated heads as well, plus I have a few boxes of S&B FMJs for ...
