General cost of a decent P-64?

I was at a gun show here in Knoxville recently, and a dealer had a brace of P-64's for $220 OTD. And people were buying them when I was there.

C&R question

I haven't seen a whole bunch of shotguns that are actually available as C & R, but it is flat-out amazing what they list from time to time. The mosin-nagant rifles for virtually nothing, the CZ-52 pistols for virtually nothing, not to mention the CZ-82 which is a modern pistol, as far as I'm con...

What is your favorite revolver?

Anjdrifter, Just a suggestion, but I always talk about how it is a "historical piece" and it is educational to have these relics, and that I am certainly not getting them just for the fun of shooting them, although I must shoot them from time to time, because it is "good for them.&quo...

What is your favorite revolver?

Yep, it doesn't sound like much, but over time the dime around would add up to a bunch. I guess my point was I just wish the agant 7.62 ammo was cheaper. An ineresting weapon, without question. In some ways, way ahead of it's time, as my understanding is that it is still being used, in official capac...

CZ82 Won't Fire!

Carguy, Very sorry to hear about your firing pin problem. Oddly, the CZ-52, the predicessor to the CZ-82 is supposed to have the same problem. Those guys at CZ make excellent weapons, there is no doubt, but perhaps they subcontract the firing pins to China or something? Thanks for the heads up on th...

What is your favorite revolver?

I like the smell of that Russian target stuff, as it has a real 'gunpowdery' smell, but it also makes me think that it might be somewhat corrosive, although I've not seen any evidence of it. I've used the .32 stuff (not the .32 mag) and while it works well, in the revolver, the 'horsepower' needed t...

What is your favorite revolver?

Anjdrifter, You know, I have one of those as well and like it. Have you tried the new Hotshot ammo? We did and it worked pretty well--about like the Fiocchi. The cheapest I've found the Hotshot stuff is about $22 a box. Since you're obviously an Nagant lover, do you have any ideas where someone migh...

CZ-82?

We had a beautiful day here in East Tennessee on Saturday and I finally got to really put the new CZ-82 to the test. We put about 125 rounds through it with three different shooters and it never missed a beat! It's very accurate and the recoil is mild, at least to me. I put my P-64 on top of it and ...

Why everyone needs a Mosin M44

Mr. Norm that is an excellent "muzzle" shot.

I have an M-44 and just love it. It has had the bayonett filed off, and the bolt turned down, so it will take a scope. Given the power, accuracy and reliability of these, almost everyone should get one while they can!

Sources for P64 grips (NOT wood)?

PshootR,

That looks like a pertty interesting concept. I would prefer rubber grips, but as none are available, this seems as though it might be a wothwhile substitute.

Many thanks!

CZ-82?

Norm,

Thanks for the tip on Bartos, I have ordered the CZ-83 mag from him, as it would be good to have another mag (three of them).

Is there any chance that they'll make the CZ-83 C&R, too?

Or the P-64, for that matter?

Problem

Coaster,

Never had that problem. It must be in the recoil spring--backwards or weak. Defintetly something you want to get remedied, though!

CZ-82?

Gentlemen: Thanks for the info about the CZ-82/CZ-83 mags. I have PM'd Bartos about his CZ-83 mag, and hopefully he still has it. I got two mags with the aimsurplus deal, but would like at least one more. My CZ-82 is really smooth and accurate. Aim advertised it as in excellent condition and it is. ...

Sources for P64 grips (NOT wood)?

I'd sure like to see him start up again. Maybe even see if he could make these in hard rubber instead of resin. I wouldn't be adverse to pledging or even paying in advance, if he could do so, and were so inclined. I don't recall ever hearing a negative comment on Zee's grips or his service.
